Position Summary

Shawnee Specialties is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / CNC Machinist to support the programming, setup, operation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of CNC machining processes.

This position is intended for a hands-on machinist or programmer who understands how to take a component from drawing or model through setup and production. The successful candidate will be capable of developing practical machining processes, building or modifying fixtures, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting consistent part quality.

The role works closely with production, tooling, quality, engineering, and maintenance to support both new and existing machining work.

Essential Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machining equipment used in production and tooling support.
- Develop and optimize machining processes, workholding, tooling, speeds, feeds, and operation sequences.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD-generated drawings.
- Design, build, modify, and maintain fixtures and workholding as required.
- Perform machine setups and verify offsets, tools, programs, and workholding before production.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, dimensional, and process-related issues.
- Inspect machined components using appropriate precision measuring instruments.
- Support first-piece approval and corrective action when dimensions or processes fall outside requirements.
- Work with Quality and Production personnel to improve repeatability, cycle time, and scrap performance.
- Maintain CNC programs, setup information, tooling records, and related documentation.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and report equipment concerns promptly.
- Participate in training programs deemed necessary by the company.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all OSHA requirements and Shawnee Specialties policies and procedures.
- Work overtime as needed to support production requirements.
Qualifications Required
- Minimum 2 years of CNC machining, setup, programming, or closely related manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Working knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, workholding, and precision measurement.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain accurate setup and process documentation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience programming multi-axis CNC equipment.

Position Summary

Shawnee Specialties is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of production equipment and facility systems throughout our manufacturing operation.

This position is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with experience in one or more industrial trades, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing, or die casting equipment maintenance. The successful candidate will be capable of identifying equipment problems, completing repairs safely, managing assigned work orders, and supporting projects that improve equipment reliability and facility operations.

Shawnee is primarily seeking a Full-Time First Shift Maintenance Technician. We are also open to experienced part-time or contract maintenance professionals interested in supporting specific repair, installation, improvement, or facility projects.

Essential Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance according to established schedules and equipment requirements.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other equipment-related problems.
- Perform repairs and adjustments to production machinery to reduce downtime and restore safe operation.
- Support maintenance and repair of die casting machines, trim equipment, furnaces, CNC machinery, robotics, and other manufacturing systems as applicable.
- Perform industrial electrical troubleshooting, component replacement, wiring repairs, and equipment installation within applicable qualifications and safety requirements.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems including hoses, cylinders, valves, pumps, fittings, and related components.
- Perform mechanical repairs involving bearings, motors, gearboxes, belts, chains, shafts, guards, and related equipment components.
- Assist with plumbing, compressed air, water, drainage, and other facility utility systems as required.
- Assist with equipment installation, relocation, modification, and improvement projects.
- Respond to production equipment failures and work with operators and supervisors to identify and correct problems.
- Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend corrective actions or improvements to increase reliability and equipment life.
- Use the company work-order system to document maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and outstanding issues.
- Prioritize maintenance work based on safety, production requirements, equipment condition, and operational needs.
- Coordinate with production, tooling, engineering, outside contractors, and vendors when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Participate in training programs deemed necessary by the company.
- Follow applicable lockout/tagout and energy-control procedures.
- Follow all OSHA requirements and Shawnee Specialties policies and procedures.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment.
Qualifications Required
- Hands-on experience with industrial maintenance, equipment repair, skilled trades, or a related technical field.
- Working knowledge in at least one of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, or industrial equipment maintenance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and common maintenance equipment.
- Ability to identify equipment problems and work systematically toward an effective repair.
- Ability to manage assigned projects and prioritize work within a work-order system.
- Ability to follow equipment manuals, technical instructions, maintenance procedures, and safety requirements.

Work Schedule
- First Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday.
- Second Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM – not currently active; may become available as operations expand.
- Third Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Sunday night through Friday morning – not currently active; may become available as operations expand.
- Part-time and project-based schedules may be arranged according to project requirements and candidate availability.
- Overtime or off-shift work may occasionally be required to complete repairs or support production requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk throughout a manufacturing facility for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, climb, and work around industrial machinery as required.

Shawnee Specialties is seeking an experienced Technical Cost Estimator / Technical Sales Engineer to support new business development, customer relationships, technical quoting, and cost estimation for die casting and machining projects.

This position combines technical manufacturing knowledge with customer-facing sales responsibilities. The successful candidate will evaluate customer requirements, review part designs and manufacturing processes, develop accurate and competitive cost estimates, and work directly with customers to identify practical and cost-effective production solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience with die casting, tooling, machining, manufacturing operations, and technical sales or estimating. This role requires a strong understanding of how tooling, material, labor, equipment, secondary operations, quality requirements, and production volumes affect the overall cost and manufacturability of a component.

Essential Responsibilities
- Identify and develop potential customers, industries, and markets for Shawnee Specialties’ die casting and machining capabilities.
- Develop and execute sales strategies and action plans designed to support company sales and growth objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Work directly with customers to understand technical, commercial, quality, and production requirements.
- Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations, proposals, quotations, and supporting documentation.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and project requirements while supporting mutually beneficial customer relationships and company objectives.
- Serve as a primary point of contact between customers and Shawnee Specialties throughout quoting, launch, and ongoing production activities.
- Work with automotive and industrial customers operating under ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949, and other applicable quality system requirements.
- Review manufacturing processes and production plans to determine effective use of labor, equipment, tooling, materials, and other resources.
- Identify potential manufacturing, tooling, cost, or scheduling concerns and work with internal teams to develop practical solutions.
- Support cross-functional communication between Sales, Engineering, Quality, Tooling, Production, Purchasing, and Management.
- Maintain professional, ethical, and responsive communication with customers and internal personnel.
Qualifications Required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
- Experience in technical sales, estimating, business development, manufacturing engineering, or a related manufacturing role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production operations.
- Working knowledge of die casting processes, materials, tooling, and manufacturing techniques.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills for developing manufacturing cost estimates.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, organization, and customer relationship skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Working proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.

Cost Estimation
- Collaborate with customers to review project requirements, specifications, drawings, models, and anticipated production volumes.
- Develop detailed project cost estimates including material, labor, tooling, machine time, secondary operations, outside processing, packaging, overhead, and other applicable costs.
- Evaluate die casting, machining, trimming, finishing, inspection, assembly, and secondary operation requirements when preparing quotations.
- Determine appropriate production methods and identify opportunities to improve manufacturability or reduce overall production cost.
- Coordinate with internal departments and outside vendors to obtain accurate tooling, material, processing, and service costs.
- Review quoted versus actual production costs and identify opportunities to improve future estimating accuracy.
Customer Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer questions, concerns, requests, and technical issues.
- Understand customer expectations related to quality, delivery, pricing, engineering support, and production requirements.
- Support customer meetings, technical reviews, plant visits, and project discussions as required.

Essential Responsibilities
